Job summary

The Moorifields in Bath is seeking an Assistant Manager to help deliver memorable guest experiences, manage a motivated team and stand in for the General Manager when needed.

You’ll oversee service quality, support both Front and Back of House during busy periods, ensure food standards are met, and drive health and safety compliance while pursuing personal development toward GM duties.

Qualifications

• Take helm when the General Manager is away; motivate the team to perform at their best and ensure smooth operations.
• Create a warm, natural welcome for guests and make strong first impressions to delight experiences.
• Monitor customer feedback and help the team adapt to maintain high standards and continuous improvement.
• Deliver consistently high service levels, supporting front and back of house during peak times.
• Oversee consistent quality food offering and recognise the Kitchen Team's importance.
• Previous relevant experience enables you to recognise when teammates need help and provide support.
• Attention to detail to keep admin and cash management systems ticking, especially when the GM is away.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Inspire and support the team, providing development and reliable leadership.
• Pride in personal development with a view to progressing to General Manager.

The Moorifields is a family friendly gastro pub in Oldfield Park, Bath, serving freshly prepared food all day, every day. It’s all about great food & friendly service.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to help us deliver experiences that delight. This exciting role will see you work in an inspiring part of the world, motivating a team of passionate people while supporting and occasionally stepping in for the General Manager.
