Job summary

Howden Group in Milton Keynes is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support monthly management accounting and reporting for business units. You will assist with general ledger journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany activity within Group policy.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hybrid environment (onsite 3 days per week). Part-qualified candidates with UK accounting standards knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• BSc/BA in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
• Part-qualified with ACCA/ACA/CIMA preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly management accounting and reporting to strict deadlines.
• Support general ledger journals and intercompany reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and VAT/tax data as required.
• Develop and maintain reporting processes and ad-hoc analyses.
