Job summary

Counted Recruitment is pleased to present an exciting Assistant Management Accountant role in Redditch, offering hybrid working and a salary of £27,000–£30,000.

You'll join a supportive finance team, with a clear progression pathway to Management Accountant and full study support toward a professional qualification.

The role covers month-end, journals, reconciliations, budgeting, and collaboration with auditors, with flexible start times from 7:30am.

Qualifications

• Studying towards AAT, or part qualified/qualified by experience towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts to meet reporting deadlines.
• Posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Acting as first point of contact for internal queries on month-end processes.
• Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations and resolving reconciling items.
• Helping implement checks to ensure financial information is accurate.
• Assisting with year-end processes and information for auditors.
• Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contributing to the annual budgeting process with the finance team.
• Performing ad hoc duties to support the finance function as needed.
