Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is supporting a Poole, Dorset client in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days from home, study support, and clear progression opportunities within a growing finance team.

Desirable candidates will have experience in month-end processes, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with the transactional team.

Qualifications

• Degree not strictly required; professional qualification by experience accepted.
• Experience with month-end processes and reconciliations preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in month-end closing processes, including preparing journals and reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• Contributing to VAT submissions and ensuring data integrity across financial systems
• Managing supplier relationships, resolving invoice discrepancies, and monitoring cash flow
• Supporting in escalated queries across accounts payable and receivable supporting the transactional team
• Participating in finance projects and continuous process improvements to optimise efficiency
• Adhoc reporting for various departments
• Cashflow and forecasting
