Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is working with a Sheffield-based business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers exposure to a broad range of financial responsibilities within a commercially focused environment.

You will support month-end processes, monitor financial performance and deliver accurate financial reporting while collaborating with Finance, Projects, Operations, Sales and HR.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance or assistant management accounting role.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis ability.
• Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end procedures and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
• Produce monthly revenue and margin analysis by market sector.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support IFRS 15 revenue recognition for contracts.
• Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts with projections.
• Monitor project costs, forecast margins and costs to complete.
• Process customer invoices and credits in the sales ledger.
• Assist with payroll data and year-end financial procedures.
