Job summary

JCB seeks an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance team at the Rocester site, supporting timely financial information and acting as a trusted liaison for finance queries. The role offers progression into month-end reporting and reconciliations while gaining broad exposure to management accounting tasks.

Initial focus on Purchase Ledger and Accounts Payable, with opportunities to grow into more complex month-end processes and reporting as experience develops.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger.
• Willing to develop into Management Accounting.
• Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong attention to detail with reconciliations.
• Ability to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage invoice processing across a structured workflow.
• Support Accounts Payable to resolve supplier queries and discrepancies.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Manage weekly bank postings and month-end bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Raise manual sales invoices weekly with accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete supplier statement reconciliations and maintain accounts.
