12 Month Temporary Position in Woking: Assistant Management Accountant

Our client, a UK-based manufacturing business in Woking specializing in designing and manufacturing high-quality products, is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant for a 12-month temporary position.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Group Management Accountant in preparing the Monthly Management Accounts for the UK manufacturing base.
2. Manage monthly accruals and prepayments.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Contribute to cash flow forecasting.
5. Conduct margin reporting and P&L reviews.
6. Partner with operational teams on financial matters.
7. Manage the consolidation process of subsidiary entities, as directed by the Group Management Accountant.
8. Prepare monthly reporting packs for subsidiaries, including KPI analysis for management.
9. Provide variance analysis on key performance drivers.
10. Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
11. Review performance with manufacturing and subsidiary teams to understand cost structures and optimize margins.
12. Assist in group cash flow forecasting, including data collation, forecast preparation, and analysis.
13. Support the preparation of tax returns, VAT, and other filings, ensuring timely submission of UK statutory returns.
14. Assist with audits and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
15. Support ad hoc projects such as finance system implementation and process improvements.
16. May be working towards an accountancy degree.
