Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Full responsibility for the month-end close, including posting sales & purchases, journals, overseeing accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets depreciation
• Preparing the month-end Purchase Report, including Duty calculation, Commission, and Freight charges
• Full responsibility for the balance sheet reconciliation
• Completing quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance and keeping up to date with any changes to VAT
• Preparing Weekly Management Reports such as Aged TB and Sale report
• Full responsibility for weekly customer payment allocation and supervising sales invoices and debt collection
• Supporting the Management Accountant with ad hoc analysis, reporting, and projects
• Support & Cover for the Assistant Accountant
• Managing and mentoring a Junior Accountant

Person Specification:

• Advanced MS Excel skills with minimum 5 years' experience
• Some understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Have a 'can do' and positive attitude
• Analytically minded
• Well-organised and diligent with exceptional attention to detail
