Michael Page is partnering with a successful manufacturing business that is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client, based in Southampton, has experienced rapid growth over the past 12 months and requires travel to their offices.

Job Description

As an Assistant Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Recording day-to-day financial transactions, such as purchases, sales (including billing customers), receipts, and payments.
  2. Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.
  3. Communicating with suppliers and customers to resolve queries and maintain high credit control standards.
  4. Collaborating with the Purchasing department on weekly payment runs, purchase order management, and Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI).
  5. Processing expense claims to ensure timely payments.
  6. Participating in financial audits and providing support as needed.
  7. Staying updated on relevant accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  8. Supporting special projects and other duties as assigned by the Finance Director.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience with the responsibilities listed above or similar roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.
