Job summary

Eaton Syalon is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join a Nottingham-based Finance team. This hybrid role offers the tools to develop your finance career long-term and a competitive package with a bonus and enhanced benefits.

You will balance reconciliations, support monthly management accounts, and collaborate with payroll and ledger functions to ensure accurate reporting and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting/finance support roles.

• Comfort using Excel for data manipulation and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Produce margin and performance reports for internal stakeholders.

• Run P&L analyses and interpret variances.

Eaton Syalon are working with our Nottingham based client to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant into their Finance team. This opportunity will see the successful candidate given all the tools to develop their finance career long-term.

Responsibilities:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing margin and performance reports for internal stakeholders
• Journals including accruals and prepayments
• Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts
• Liaison with operations, resolving queries and building productive working relationships
• Running profit & loss reports and analysing performance
• Analysis of high volumes of data
• Partnering with Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions

About You:

We're looking for someone hungry to build a career in finance. You might be in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role and ready for that next step into an Assistant Management Accountant role. You may be an AAT studier or someone who is in the early/mid stages of CIMA / ACCA / ACA, and keen to continue, while gaining valuable experience to support your studies.

You will have well developed IT skills including confidence using Excel and Interpersonal, you should enjoy building solid working relationships with your team and the wider business and won't be afraid to ask for support if you need it.

This role is ideally suited to a proactive, technically strong accounts professional keen to progress in the future.
