Nigel Wright Group is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant in the United Kingdom to join an established finance team. This role offers a solid grounding in finance and a path to develop further within management accounting.

The role involves supporting management accounts, accruals/prepayments, cash flow forecasting, and broader finance team duties. Hybrid working with three days in the office applies.

Formación

• At least 12 months' experience in a busy finance environment.
• Exposure to management accounts preparation preferred.
• Understanding of core accounting principles incl. debits/credits, accruals and prepayments.
• Strong Excel skills and numerical accuracy.

Responsabilidades

• Support the preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare and post accruals and prepayments.
• Support cash flow forecasting.
• Assist with rent and service charges accounting.
• Provide finance support for development activity.
• Support disposals accounting entries.
• Work extensively with Excel and financial spreadsheets.
• Provide wider finance function support as required.

The Opportunity

Are you looking to build your experience within management accounts and take the next step in your finance career? We are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join an established finance team, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in finance who is keen to broaden their experience and develop further within management accounting.

You may already have some exposure to management accounts, or perhaps you're currently working in a Finance Assistant position and are ready to take on more responsibility. Either way, attitude, aptitude and a willingness to learn will be just as important as your current job title.

The Role:

Working as part of the wider finance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the preparation of management accounts
• Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
• Supporting cash flow forecasting
• Assisting with rent and service charge accounting
• Providing finance support relating to development activity
• Supporting disposals accounting entries
• Working extensively with Excel and financial spreadsheets
• Providing wider support across the finance function as required

About You:

We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in finance and accounting, ideally gained through at least 12 months' experience within a busy finance environment.

You'll ideally bring:

• Some exposure to management accounts preparation
• A good understanding of core accounting principles, including debits and credits, accruals and prepayments
• Strong Excel skills
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy finance team

AAT or studying towards AAT would be beneficial but is not essential. We are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate the right accounting fundamentals and the potential to step up and develop.
