Job summary

NC Associates Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant in Knutsford. You will support monthly management accounts, assist with month-end journals, accruals and prepayments, and provide financial analysis with the Finance Director.

The role offers varied exposure within a growing family-owned business and includes study support, an annual bonus, and onsite parking. This is an office-based position.

Qualifications

• Experience in producing monthly management accounts.
• Exposure to month-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Analytical data interpretation and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Ability to manage workloads independently and stay organised.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts.
• Preparing and posting journals for month-end.
• Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments.
• Completing variance analysis and compiling financial reports.
• Assisting with VAT return preparation and submissions.
• Performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Reviewing financial data to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Helping maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assisting across the wider finance function and supporting the team where needed.

Assistant Management Accountant Role Overview

NC Associates are currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join a successful, family-owned business. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll support monthly management accounts, month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis, while working closely with the wider finance team to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

Assistant Management Accountant Responsibilities

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts

Assistant Management Accountant Requirements

• Previous experience working in a role where you have had exposure to management accounts
• AAT qualified, studying towards AAT or equivalent experience
• Confident using Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
• Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify improvements and solve problems
• Self-motivated, organised and able to manage workloads independently
