We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team in Manchester. The role is key in supporting the management accounting function, providing valuable financial insights, and helping develop a high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare monthly management accounts for several entities, including supporting analysis as needed.
2. Ensure all month-end journals are accurate and supported by appropriate documentation.
3. Assist in producing consolidated monthly management accounts through journal postings, ensuring correct cost and revenue allocations.
4. Maintain monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations where required.
5. Collaborate with transactions and payroll teams to ensure costs and income are correctly accounted for.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and assist in implementing them.
7. Support the audit process by addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.

About You:

• Proven ability to influence and challenge effectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in management accounts production and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience in a similar role; part-qualified candidates are preferred.
• Knowledge of a law firm is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
