1. Participate in month-end close processes, ensuring every cost is captured accurately and reported on time.
2. Prepare accounting journals with precision, ready for review and posting.
3. Manage transactional data, allocating costs accurately across various workstreams.
4. Take ownership of key balance sheet and P&L items, delivering accurate and timely reports.
5. Produce insightful daily, weekly, and monthly reports to support decision-making.
6. Conduct thorough month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial integrity.
7. Collaborate with department leaders to help them understand and manage their budgets and P&Ls.
8. Serve as a key contact during the external audit process.
9. Support the Senior Management Accountant, Head of Finance, and Head of FP&A with various tasks.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

• Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Management Accountant, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles (debits/credits).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel skills; spreadsheets are your playground.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in every transaction.
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop your career.

Desirable but not essential:

• AAT or equivalent accounting qualifications.
• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or pursuing these qualifications.
• Experience in the telecoms or utilities industry.
