As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop their career in a fast-paced, commercial environment with clear pathways for progression.

The Role

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to our experienced and commercially focused Finance Director, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Completing payroll and ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Performing regular bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting depreciation
  • Conducting variance analysis and budget reporting
  • Assisting in the production of management accounts with guidance and support from the Finance Director


Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an AAT qualification (or be actively studying toward becoming a Chartered Accountant)
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a growing team and adapt to evolving business needs
