As we continue to grow, we're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to our experienced and commercially focused Finance Director, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Completing payroll and ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Performing regular bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting depreciation
- Conducting variance analysis and budget reporting
- Assisting in the production of management accounts with guidance and support from the Finance Director
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or an AAT qualification (or be actively studying toward becoming a Chartered Accountant)
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in financial systems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable but not essential)
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
- The ability to work collaboratively in a growing team and adapt to evolving business needs
