Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established Business Services organisation to recruit an Assistant GL Accountant. This role offers a mostly remote working environment and a supportive culture.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries
• Collaborating with finance team members
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assisting in financial statement and report preparation
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Handling ad-hoc financial tasks
• Engaging in continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Part-Qualified and studying with ICAEW, CIMA, or ACCA
• Experience in accounting or finance roles; practice experience or AAT studies are a plus
• Understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Attention to detail and proactive work ethic
