NPR Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (FMCG) to join a global engineering automation business on site in Barnsley. You will support site maintenance and repairs across automation equipment.

The role offers development opportunities, an attractive package with an OTE of £62,000 and a pension, 23 days holiday, life insurance, and retail discounts, plus career progression.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance experience in FMCG/automation environments.
• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsabilités

• Complete servicing on a variety of automation equipment.
• Perform repairs and diagnose mechanical/electrical faults.
• React quickly to faults to maintain production flow.
• Ensure on-site spares are kept to required levels.
• Operate within a site-based maintenance team in an FMCG setting.

The right Maintenance Engineer (FMCG) will support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment, utilising a purpose-built automation system.

Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment

• Complete all repairs
• Diagnosis of Mechanical/Electrical faults and repairs
• React positively to any faults
• Ensure flow at all times
• Ensure on-site spares are kept to the required level
• A successful multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (FMCG) will ideally have experience in an FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environment.
• NVQ 3 or apprenticeship-trained Electrical, Mechanical or ONC, HNC.
• Basic PLC fault-finding knowledge in/outs
