Pear Recruitment seeks an experienced Assistant Lettings Manager to support day-to-day lettings operations in Lee. You will assist with valuations, applicant management, viewings, negotiations and ensuring properties are let efficiently while guiding the team.

The role offers exposure to the full lettings process and progression, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to landlords and tenants in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within residential lettings, ideally supervising a lettings team.
  • Strong knowledge of the lettings process from instruction to move-in.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident, professional communication with landlords, tenants and applicants.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and support a Lettings Manager.
  • Ability to lead by example and develop the team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed monthly targets, KPIs and banking objectives through effective negotiation and deal management.
  • Respond to landlord, tenant and applicant enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong landlord relationships through regular communication and proactive account management.
  • Qualify applicants and offers, negotiate terms and support colleagues with negotiations where required.
  • Lead by example within the team, providing guidance, support and assistance to colleagues when needed.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities through prospecting, generating valuation appointments and developing the landlord database.
  • Conduct market appraisals, provide accurate rental advice and secure new instructions.
  • Assist with the preparation, monitoring and recording of departmental performance figures and reports.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase property stock, attract new landlords and strengthen the company’s position within the local market.
  • Monitor the progression of agreed lets, ensuring transactions move forward efficiently and delegating tasks to team members where appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for ongoing personal development, enhancing industry knowledge and continually improving professional skills.
  • Ensure all activity is carried out in accordance with current legislation, industry regulations and company procedures.
  • Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities reasonably requested by the Lettings Manager or Directors.

Salary: Basis £25,000 - £30,000 OTE £45,000 - £50,000
Full Licence and own Car required for this role

Our client is looking for an experienced, driven and customer-focused Assistant Lettings Manager to join their growing lettings team.

Working closely with the Lettings Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the lettings department, helping to deliver a smooth and efficient service to landlords, tenants and applicants.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their lettings career, developing their management skills while remaining actively involved in the full lettings process.

Skills
  • Previous experience within residential lettings, ideally with experience supporting or supervising a lettings team.
  • Strong knowledge of the residential lettings process, from instruction and marketing through to offer, referencing and move-in.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to support the Lettings Manager and wider team effectively.
  • Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and provide effective support to the Lettings Manager and wider team.
  • A natural team player with the confidence to lead by example, support colleagues and contribute to the continued success of the lettings department.
