About the Role

Huck’s American Bar and Grill offers a taste of America, featuring recipes from the West Coast to the Deep South. We are seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager / Senior Chef de Partie to lead a kitchen team, ensuring excellent food quality and service.

Salary and Benefits

Circa £33,700 per annum plus tips. Benefits include discretionary service charge, colleague bonus scheme, pension, recognition and reward schemes, free leisure facilities, discounts, and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the kitchen and team effectively
  • Maintain budget, food costs, and margins
  • Monitor and improve guest satisfaction regarding food quality
  • Ensure compliance with food safety legislation
  • Prepare and present food according to specifications
Working Hours

Working straight shifts, approximately 160 hours per 4-week period, between 8:00 am and 12:00 am. Includes holidays and festive periods on a rota basis.

Essential Requirements
  • Leadership experience in a busy kitchen environment
  • Good financial awareness (stock, wastage, work schedules)
  • Previous supervisory experience as Chef de Partie or Head/Sous Chef
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of financial targets and controls
Desirable
  • Experience with back-of-house systems for stock management and ordering
