• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and models using SketchUp and CAD software, based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers
• Modify and update existing drawings in response to design changes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to understand requirements, address design challenges, and ensure the feasibility of drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant design regulations and Building Control Standards applicable in the UK
• Perform thorough checks to ensure all drawings are complete, clear, and accurate before submission
• Commit to ongoing professional development to enhance drawing skills, software proficiency, and understanding of design standards
• Assist in the identification and procurement of second fix materials (e.g., fixtures, fittings, finishes) from suppliers in China, ensuring materials meet UK specifications and quality standards while supporting cost-effective sourcing
  
  
  

Requirements

I. Job Requirements

• At least five years of proven experience in the construction industry, preferably in roles involving technical drawing, design coordination, or drafting
• Familiarity with UK building regulations, construction methods, and drawing standards is a strong advantage
• Experience working in international or English-speaking environments is preferred, with the ability to collaborate across time zones and cultural contexts
• Solid understanding of construction materials, especially second fix items (e.g., fixtures, fittings, finishes), and the ability to communicate effectively with manufacturers and suppliers in China to ensure specifications, quality, and delivery requirements are met
