Do you enjoy working in a busy team and have great organisation and customer service skills? We are looking for an Assistant HR Officer to join our established in-house HR recruitment team. Our team delivers a recruitment service across Hertfordshire County Council to ensure that Hiring Managers have the best resourcing solutions and attraction strategies to appoint high calibre candidates.
We are a busy team therefore, we'll need you to be extremely well organised, able to work under pressure, respond quickly and manage conflicting priorities. You will assist the HR Officer to deliver an excellent customer service by providing efficient and timely transactional processing of pre-employment checks and candidate management through our applicant tracking system. With onboarding experience and highly developed interpersonal skills you will be confident to advise hiring managers on policy and best practice. You will deliver excellent customer service and be able to ensure work is carried out to a high standard within agreed KPIs. You will need to be confident using Microsoft packages, including Excel, and have the ability to use your own initiative, constantly prioritising your own work to meet deadlines and demonstrating a pro‑active approach to your workload management. You are required to work in the office at least once a week.
