Job Title: Assistant Headteacher – Personal Development

Salary: Up to £53,000.00 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team at New Barn School as an Assistant Headteacher for Personal Development. The role involves strategic leadership and oversight of Personal Development initiatives, including Enrichment, PSHE, Careers, and Work Experience, ensuring the delivery of an engaging and comprehensive program across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to promote excellent pastoral care and support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Headteacher in maintaining high educational standards through innovative personal development programs.
  • Lead and oversee areas such as Careers, Enrichment, Trips and Visits, PSHE, and staff training.
  • Model outstanding practice in the classroom and demonstrate visible leadership through school duties and stakeholder engagement.
