Job Title: Assistant Headteacher – Personal Development
Salary: Up to £53,000.00 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher – Personal Development to join our close-knit team at New Barn School, part of Acorn Education.
The Assistant Headteacher Personal Development has strategic leadership and implementation oversight of Personal Development. The post holder is responsible for driving, leading, and quality assuring staff work on Enrichment and PSHE. They work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to ensure excellent pastoral provision across all subjects and year groups, supporting every pupil to enjoy learning and be highly successful.
New Barn School offers a broad curriculum for boys and girls aged 6–19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges. The school utilizes outdoor learning including forest school, farm experiences, and horse riding. It is located within a commutable distance of Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke, and Reading.
