Job summary

Willenhall E-ACT Academy invites an ambitious leader to join the Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher - Pastoral. The role focuses on attendance, behaviour and pastoral care to raise standards and student engagement.

You will line-manage pastoral leaders and work with families and external partners to remove barriers to learning, driving a culture of high expectations and inclusion across the academy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with successful leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
• Proven ability to improve attendance, behaviour and pastoral outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead attendance, behaviour, pastoral care and student wellbeing strategically.
• Drive improvements in attendance, punctuality and conduct with data-led interventions.
• Line manage and develop pastoral leaders and attendance staff.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and local authorities to remove barriers to learning.
• Contribute to whole-school improvement as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
