Job summary

E-ACT Bristol Academy South Secondary in Bristol is seeking an inspirational Assistant Headteacher for Behaviour to drive high standards of behaviour, attendance and inclusion across the academy. You will shape culture, lead improvement initiatives and collaborate with staff, families and external partners to ensure every pupil can learn and thrive.

The post requires a proven leadership record, a passion for inclusion and the ability to motivate colleagues.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven leadership with a track record of improving pupil outcomes.
• Experience leading behaviour, pastoral or inclusion initiatives.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Strong ability to analyse data and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for behaviour, conduct and academy culture, ensuring high expectations and positive outcomes for all pupils.
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of behaviour systems, policies and improvement strategies across the academy.
• Oversee attendance, inclusion and pupil engagement, working with pastoral teams and external agencies to improve outcomes.
• Lead and support Heads of Year, Pastoral Leaders and associated teams, ensuring effective and consistent pastoral systems.
• Deliver staff training, coaching and professional development to strengthen behaviour management, inclusion and classroom practice.
