The Parker Academy is seeking an ambitious Assistant Head - SENCO to champion inclusion and drive excellence in SEND provision across the academy. You will lead SEND strategy, liaise with staff, families and external agencies, and ensure every pupil with SEND receives the support they need to thrive.

As a member of the SLT, you will influence culture, policies and practice while safeguarding and wellbeing remain central to every decision.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
• Senior leadership or management qualification, or willingness to work towards.
• Strong knowledge of current SEND legislation, statutory guidance and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire others and develop a positive culture for learning.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for SEND across the academy to promote achievement and wellbeing.
• Lead and manage SEND provision with effective identification, assessment and support.
• Develop strong relationships with parents/carers to support education.
• Promote safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing for all students, especially vulnerable ones.
• Be an associate member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
