Job summary

Zizzi in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Head Chef to lead shifts, run the pass and inspire the kitchen team across high-volume service and delivery channels. You’ll partner with the Head Chef to balance speed, quality and costs while developing junior chefs.

We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who can stay calm under pressure, manage stock and labour, and drive food excellence with fast, consistent results on dine-in and delivery orders. Flexible hours and career development await.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen during peak times.
• Proven ability to manage stock, wastage and labour.
• Mentor and develop junior chefs to build confidence and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen and run the pass in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring fast and flawless service.
• Deliver high-quality, consistent food across dine-in and delivery orders.
• Support management by achieving kitchen performance metrics, including prep, stock, and cost control.
• Coach and develop junior chefs to raise standards and teamwork.
• Maintain kitchen safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
