Job summary

Homes for Students Ltd in Leeds is seeking an Assistant General Manager for The Tannery Property to lead sales, maintenance and housekeeping operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will manage a busy September period, support the General Manager, and motivate the on-site team through clear communication, effective planning and hands-on leadership. This 40-hour-per-week role is on site with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in team management within a similar role or environment.
• Proficiency in presenting and analysing information accurately and effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills to ensure seamless operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively, inspire, and motivate team members.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales, maintenance and housekeeping operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Assist the General Manager and support the site team during busy periods, especially September.
• Ensure smooth check-in/check-out and room turnaround processes.

As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service across our sales, maintenance, and housekeeping departments. The highlight of your role will be the bustling September period, where you will support the General Manager and the wider site team inthe check-in, check-out, and room turnaround processes. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial in supporting our new students and managing any customer or operational challenges that arise.
