The Hero, part of Public House Group, is recruiting an Assistant General Manager to lead the team and elevate guest experiences at a flagship gastro pub in London. You will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily ops, ensure impeccable service and a thriving team culture.

We’re seeking a proven AGM or high-level restaurant manager with strong leadership, superb communication and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AGM, Restaurant Manager or similar.
• Experience in fine dining or high-end restaurants.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a diverse team.
• Positive and friendly attitude, with a willingness to work collaboratively with the team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for guests.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality, hospitality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Control budgets, manage costs, and work towards meeting revenue targets.
• Act as a visible leader, building relationships with guests and handling feedback professionally.
• Work closely with the management team to implement new ideas that enhance the guest experience and drive business growth
