Job summary

YesGolfing's featured club in North Yorkshire seeks an accomplished Assistant General Manager to join the senior leadership team. You will support the General Manager across membership services, events, golf operations, administration and compliance, acting as deputy to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes delivering an outstanding member experience, engaging with committees and external stakeholders, and ensuring high standards across facilities, hospitality and services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a private members’ golf club.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to engage effectively with members and stakeholders.
• A commercially astute and operationally focused approach.
• Experience managing budgets, teams and multiple operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the General Manager in the overall management and strategic development of the Club.
• Maintaining the highest standards of member and guest service.
• Working closely with professional, hospitality, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of the Club’s diary of competitions, functions and events.
• Contributing to financial management, budgets, purchasing and commercial performance.
• Building relationships with members, committees, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and member experience.
• Acting as a senior representative of the Club and deputising for the General Manager when required.
