Job summary

Pasture Birmingham is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead with energy and passion, delivering exceptional guest experiences at a high-energy steakhouse in Birmingham’s city centre.

You will join a leadership team with a big personality, responsible for coaching staff, managing service flow, and driving margins and stock control, while maintaining top-tier hospitality and culture across floors, bars, and pass stations.

Qualifications

• Experience at Assistant Manager level in a busy, high-quality restaurant.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and communication skills.
• Able to manage margins, labour planning, stock, and service operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and lead in their absence.
• Lead from the front on busy services and set team pace.
• Coach, train, and develop team members with clear goals and feedback.
• Monitor guest experiences and ensure consistency and service quality.
• Handle daily operations, admin, and ordering; participate in recruitment and reviews.
• Help plan in-house events and maintain high standards of cleanliness and HACCP/H&S compliance.
