Job summary

Adventure Leisure Stevenage is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead one venue under Burhill Group Limited (BGL). Working with the Dual-Site General Manager, you’ll own day-to-day operations, drive guest experience and help Stevenage grow.

This hands-on leadership role rewards ownership and accountability, with a focus on commercial performance, people development and delivering consistent operational results.

Job description

As Assistant General Manager at Adventure Leisure Stevenage, you’ll play a key role in leading one of our venues and helping shape the experience we deliver to every guest. Working closely with the Dual-Site General Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, supporting the team, driving commercial performance and helping Stevenage continue to grow.

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll operate with a high level of independence and accountability, taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the venue while working in close partnership with the General Manager to deliver consistent operational, commercial and people-focused results.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence how we operate, develop the people around you and turn great ideas into action. You’ll help drive the commercial success of the venue by identifying opportunities to grow revenue, championing retail and food & beverage sales, and ensuring we make the most of every guest interaction.

At the same time, you’ll be a visible and supportive leader, creating an environment where our team feels valued, motivated and empowered to deliver their best. People are at the centre of what we do, and you’ll play an important role in developing future leaders, supporting team performance and building a positive, inclusive culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

You’ll also work closely with the Dual-Site General Manager to continuously improve the venue, from operational standards and guest experience through to community engagement and commercial opportunities.
