Job summary

Popeyes UK&I is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Birmingham to lead a fast-paced team and drive guest satisfaction. You’ll partner with the GM to hit sales targets, manage costs, and ensure safety standards across the operation.

Key responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, inventory, and building a high-performing, inclusive team. This role offers progression opportunities through Popeyes University and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or Restaurant General Manager in branded, high-volume restaurants.
• Experience coaching, training and giving constructive feedback.
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs.
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems.
• Strong people leadership and talent development.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.

• Help run the restaurant and lead the team to deliver Popeyes’ outstanding food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards
• Support your GM in building a winning plan and smashing performance goals
• Ensure full team compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation
• Be the role model—set the tone, keep standards high, and inspire your team
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent—you’ll know how to build a dream team+ pipeline future talent
• Bring the Fun and keep the energy high, the service smooth, and the culture poppin’
• Take the reins when your GM is away + stay hungry for personal development—this is your stepping stone to future leadership

What you’ll bring to the table:
