Job summary

Popeyes UK CHICKEN & PIZZA LTD in Bolton is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. You’ll support the GM, drive guest experience, and ensure quality, speed, and safety standards.

You’ll develop people, manage costs, and build a winning team, with a 10% bonus, referral bonus, generous holiday entitlement, and development through Popeyes University.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurants.
• Proven track record of hitting sales targets and managing costs.
• Experience with labour scheduling and stock management.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop future leaders.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and health & safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the restaurant and lead the team to deliver Popeyes' quality, speed, and guest experience standards.
• Support the GM in building plans and achieving performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and employment laws.
• Set high standards, inspire the team and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent to build a strong team pipeline.
• Maintain energy and culture, and step in when the GM is away.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant
• Experience leading results through your teams, coaching, training and having honest conversations, where needed
• Are excited by growth and ready to take the next step in your career
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs
• Experience with labour scheduling, stock management, and inventory systems
• Strong people leadership, you've built teams and developed future leaders
