My client, a large, highly-experienced Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for an Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts in the beautiful county of Surrey, in the South East of England.
Essential Criteria:
– A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field
– Demonstrable experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and SuDS
– Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections
– Good working knowledge of agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry
– Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills:
– An understanding of Tuflow and HEC-RAS
– Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows software systems (including Excel, Word, etc.)
In the diverse role of Assistant Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:
– Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations
– Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects
– Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other agreements
– Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
