  • Reviewing and overseeing drainage designs, models, calculations, and drawings to standards, ensuring technical quality.
  • Managing design tasks, delivery timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Mentoring and developing graduates and technicians in drainage.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Building stakeholder relationships to support design and consent processes.
  • Enhancing local drainage design capabilities.
  • Leading and assuring drainage designs in our Global Design Centre.
  • Representing drainage within multidisciplinary projects.
  • Supporting bid preparations with technical input and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification with ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in designing all drainage aspects from concept to detailed design.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic software, 3D tools, and BIM.
  • Skills in report writing, specifications, data collection, and technical documentation.
  • Client-focused approach and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Project management skills including scope, budget, and quality control.
  • Flexible, proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Mentoring skills and leadership qualities.
  • Experience with private and public sector clients, understanding procurement drivers.
