Qualifications

FMCG companies are seeking an Assistant Finance Manager

Title: Assistant Finance Manager
Salary range: 40-45K
Location: Canary Wharf

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Management and Supervision:
    • Assist the Function Head in supervising the Finance & Accounting team, providing support to subordinates and resolving issues.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and corporate policies in Finance & Accounts.
    • Coordinate with internal and external parties, including asset and property management, to achieve company objectives.
    • Maintain accounting records according to Local Accounting Standards / Companies Act and inform the team of any changes.
    • Interact with Hong Kong Head Quarter to provide financial support.
  • Budget:
    • Lead the budgetary process with a commercial mindset.
    • Support budgeting activities.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Lead month-end and year-end closing, and prepare statutory and management reports.
  • Analysis:
    • Assist in financial analysis to identify opportunities and profitability.
  • Operation:
    • Manage accounts payable and cash flow.
    • Address bank account issues and banking facilities.
    • Review VAT, CIS returns, and other government statistical returns.
  • General:
    • Safeguard company assets effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with taxation regulations.
    • Coordinate the annual audit and tax processes.
    • Support process improvements and other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • A part-qualified accountant with a University degree in Accountancy or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
  • Previous experience in property management is preferred.

  • Solid financial accounting, controllership, and risk management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with good business sense.

  • Understanding Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable.
