Job summary

Noble Foods is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support the Farm Manager in the daily operations of the egg-laying poultry farm, ensuring high standards of bird health, welfare and egg production. You will assist with flock management, monitor performance data, and help deliver production targets.

The role requires practical leadership, knowledge of layer farm systems, and the ability to train the team while upholding health, safety and welfare policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating a farm team and guiding staff in daily operations.
• Strong observational, analytical, problem‑solving skills for flock health and production.
• Knowledge of modern layer farm systems and equipment; monitor performance and escalate issues.
• Clear and confident communication for reporting and information flow.
• Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks and support operations.
• Understanding of animal welfare, biosecurity and compliance standards.
• Basic IT literacy and ability to use farm management software and digital reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Flock management and egg production.
• Monitor hen health, welfare, and productivity.
• Track daily egg production, mortality, feed intake, and weight gain.
• Ensure optimal lighting, ventilation, temperature, and environmental conditions within poultry houses.
• Assist with vaccination and disease prevention programmes.
• Enforce biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.
• Train staff on farm procedures, hygiene, safety.
• Record keeping of egg production, flock performance, and feed usage.
• Use farm management software and logs to support reporting and KPI tracking.
