Job description

My client, an esteemed venue set amidst the captivating Berkshire countryside, is looking for an Assistant Wedding and Events Manager to join the team.

They host a variety of events, including conferences, meetings, training workshops, and memorable weddings. Their elegant wedding pavilion and graceful ballroom create an idyllic backdrop for unforgettable celebrations. The venue boasts the largest event space in Berkshire, catering up to 500 guests.

They are seeking a Wedding and Events Assistant Manager to assist in running weddings and events at their stunning hotel. The ideal candidate will possess positive energy, excellent communication skills, a passion for service excellence, and impeccable presentation.

Skills and experience required:

  • Excellent proficiency in Maths and English
  • Knowledge of Opera system (beneficial but not essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience within the hotel industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; confident and articulate
  • A genuine passion for conferences and events
  • Creative originality and the ability to generate new ideas
  • Strong eye for design with high attention to detail
  • Well-organized, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude; spirited and goal-driven
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage people in a consultative manner, balancing control with encouragement, and managing conflicts effectively
