Job summary

Streamline Search Limited is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support the estimating team in preparing accurate costings for projects. This office-based role involves coordinating with suppliers, clients and internal teams to ensure timely, quality project delivery.

The ideal candidate has Joinery or Carpentry experience, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn how to read drawings and cost documents. Training and development are offered within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in joinery, carpentry or woodworking.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings/specifications or willing to learn.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with numbers and costing information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project estimates and costing documents.
• Review enquiries, drawings and specifications to gather information.
• Support management and assessment of incoming project enquiries.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Learn to review contracts and identify commercial risks.
• Assist with client meetings and presentations as required.
• Help prepare variations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.

Junior Estimator

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Office-based

Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays)

We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support the estimating team in the preparation of accurate and timely costings. This role involves working closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and commercially sound decision-making.

Must have previous Joinery, Carpentry or Wood working experience to be considered for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of project estimates and costing documents
• Review enquiries, drawings and specifications to gather relevant information
• Support the management and assessment of incoming project enquiries
• Obtain quotations and pricing information from specialist suppliers and subcontractors
• Learn to review contracts and identify potential commercial risks
• Assist with client meetings and presentations where required
• Help prepare variations, cost reports and final accounts
• Maintain accurate records and estimating documentation
