Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Senior Project Estimator to support Project Management and Sales by delivering accurate estimates and quotations with excellent customer service. Hybrid role with 2 days from home, a £30,000–£45,000 salary, and annual bonus opportunities.

The successful candidate will manage pricing with PMs, Sales and Site teams, prepare reliable cost estimates, Bills of Materials, and final accounts, while ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Maths.
• At least 2 years' experience in shopfitting, construction or similar.
• Experience in estimating, sales support or customer service.
• Experience in a joinery company would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to read and interpret technical/construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of estimating, costing and pricing processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for pricing and estimating with Project Managers, Sales Teams and Site Teams.
• Prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for customer enquiries.
• Liaise with internal departments to complete quotations on time.
• Produce Bills of Materials from drawings and Excel spreadsheets.
• Call off equipment from technical drawings.
• Discuss quotations and final accounts with clients and QSs as needed.
• Maintain and update customer schedules of rates and pricing information.
• Prepare and issue final accounts on time.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for best value within budget.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and company procedures.

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Project Estimator to support the Project Management and Sales teams by delivering accurate estimates, quotations and pricing while ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Duties

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.

• At least 2 years' experience within shopfitting, construction or a similar industry.

• Previous experience in an estimating, sales support or customer service role.

• Experience within a joinery company would be advantageous.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

• Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings.

• Strong understanding of estimating, costing and pricing processes.

• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.
