Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre is seeking an proactive Assistant Engineering Manager to support the Engineering Manager in maintaining the hotel's plant, systems and facilities to high standards. You will lead day-to-day maintenance operations, supervise repairs, and coordinate safety and compliance records.

The role requires building services knowledge, strong organization and effective communication with colleagues, contractors and departments to ensure a welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance.
• Strong understanding of building services and Health & Safety.
• Ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager with day-to-day management of Engineering and Maintenance operations.
• Supervise allocation and distribution of repair work orders to ensure prompt, high-quality work.
• Plan, schedule and evaluate preventative maintenance to keep facilities and equipment in excellent condition.
• Oversee plant systems including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and arrange repairs or improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance, Health & Safety and compliance records.
