Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Engineering Manager in maintaining the hotel’s plant, equipment and facilities to the highest standards. You will lead day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineering professional with previous hotel/hospitality maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of building services and general maintenance.
• Solid Health & Safety knowledge with ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager with day-to-day management of Engineering and Maintenance operation.
• Supervise allocation and distribution of repair work orders, ensuring timely, high-quality work.
• Plan, schedule and evaluate preventative maintenance programmes for hotel facilities and equipment.
• Oversee the physical plant, including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life-safety systems.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and arrange repairs or improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, Health & Safety and compliance records.
• Coordinate services such as painting, repairs, renovations and replacement of furnishings/equipment when required.
• Assist with selecting and ordering engineering equipment and supplies.
• Support the training of staff in safety procedures.
