Equans UK & Ireland seeks an Assistant Electrical Technical Manager for Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours/week). The role centers on electrical inspection, testing, certification and compliance across the hospital estate to keep LV systems safe and compliant.
You will support the Technical Manager in maintaining HV/LV infrastructure, carry out HTM-aligned inspections, and develop professional qualifications (e.g., Authorised Person LV/HV, IOSH).
Equans is looking for an Assistant Electrical Technical Manager to join the team at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The post holder will undertake electrical inspection, testing, certification and compliance activities across the Portsmouth University Hospital estate, ensuring all LV electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
Working within the Estates Team, the post holder will support the Technical Manager in the efficient operation and maintenance of the hospital’s HV and LV electrical infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on carrying out periodic inspection and testing in accordance with City & Guilds 2391, BS 7671, HTM guidance and statutory regulations. The role will also contribute to the promotion of good engineering practices and support healthcare engineering compliance across the estate.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer to step up. With paid overtime and on call, the opportunity to earn Authorised Person (LV and HV) qualifications, IOSH Managing Safety qualification, as well as opportunities to develop and grow with an experienced team.
