Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking two Assistant Educational Psychologists (Social Communication) to join our Educational Psychology Service at Civic Office, Doncaster.

These permanent and temporary full-time posts (37 hours per week) offer the chance to support children and schools, working with qualified Educational Psychologists and ASCETS teachers to promote inclusion, wellbeing and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in educational psychology or related settings is desirable.
• Ability to work with children, families and schools.
• Commitment to inclusion and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
• Willingness to participate in training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion, participation, wellbeing and positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Work alongside qualified Educational Psychologists and ASCETS teachers to apply psychology in schools.
• Assist with consultation, assessment, intervention, training and service development.
• Support development of inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming practice across educational settings.
• Contribute to collaboration with schools, health, social care and families.
