Job summary

Oldham Council is seeking an Assistant Educational Psychologist to support Educational and Child Psychology services across various educational settings. Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in Psychology and GBR/GBC registration as required by the British Psychological Society.
  • Hold a valid driving licence and enhanced DBS.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience of working directly with children and parents; experience in teaching, youth work, mentoring or mental health support is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support colleagues in completing the full range of service tasks.
  • Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating training for colleagues.
  • Contribute to assessments of individual children and young people, especially in the Early Years Foundation Stage (0-5 years).
  • Provide general administrative support to a team of Educational Psychologists.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts and work with children, young people and families, and provide written feedback.
