Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is recruiting an Assistant Educational Psychologist (AsEP) to support the Educational Psychology Service. You will work with schools and partners to deliver psychological support and help develop interventions for children and families.

You will receive regular supervision and have opportunities to gain experience ahead of doctoral training. The team is small, friendly and committed to improving outcomes for local children and communities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology with an interest in applying theory to support children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with partners and families.
  • Experience working with children, young people or services to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Educational Psychology Service activities.
  • Work with schools and partner agencies to provide psychological support.
  • Contribute to planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions and projects.
  • Gather, analyse and present information to support assessments and decision making.
  • Participate in supervision and professional development activities.
