Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is seeking an Assistant Director of Home Modification Programming to lead and oversee its home modification and accessible housing initiatives. You will supervise staff and coordinate with Care Managers, OPWDD, and contractors to deliver person-centered services within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum one year of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum two years of human services experience, preferably with accessibility services.
• Experience with home modifications, accessibility, or construction/project management preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of ADAPT’s home modification and accessible housing programs while ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Manage projects from referral through closeout within approved scopes and budgets.
• Review proposed modifications for need, safety, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with professionals to develop modification plans.
• Develop and review scopes of work, estimates, and budgets; obtain approvals.
• Solicit and evaluate contractor bids and ensure documentation is complete.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, safety, and quality; address issues as needed.
• Coordinate site visits, inspections, and project closeout.
• Maintain project records and ensure procurement compliance.
• Prepare for program monitoring, audits, and reviews.
