We are looking for a passionate and ambitious AssistantCook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.

About the job

• Provide balanced and nutritious meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needs.
• Instill Storal values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health—Food Safety, Health and Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted.
• Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation.
• Be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines.
• Deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when required.

About you

• Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH.
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together.
