Assistant Compliance Officer - PKC12644

£35,588 - £39,248

Pullar House, Perth

The Compliance Team deals with servicing and maintenance contracts to ensure legal health & safety compliance and to inform Planned Maintenance programmes.

We need an Assistant Compliance Officer to oversee planned preventative maintenance contracts and ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including HSE's Approved Codes of Practice, across the non-domestic property estate.

This is a challenging role within a dynamic multidisciplinary office.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage maintenance contracts for mechanical systems such as water management, gas safety, ventilation, LEV, pools, and catering equipment.
  • Review servicing reports, interpret results, and instruct remedial actions.
  • Provide practical plumbing and water systems knowledge, suggest solutions for issues.
  • Audit mechanical systems to inform upgrade programmes.
  • Ensure timely submission and acceptance of documentation.
  • Audit contractors for statutory duties and address non-conformities.
  • Ensure remedial works are completed promptly.
  • Develop and maintain an asset register of mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance works, data, and reports.
  • Validate contractor payment applications.
  • Procure competent contractors.
  • Support management of other preventative disciplines as needed.
Skills & Experience Required

Qualified Plumber or HNC in Building Services; water and gas safety management experience preferred.

Applicants should demonstrate high standards, excellent customer service, and relevant qualifications (training provided if not held).

Qualifications
  • Water Supply (Water Fittings) (Scotland) Byelaws 2014
  • Legionella Awareness
  • P900 Control of Legionella or equivalent
  • P901 Management of Building Water Services or equivalent

Strong planning, organisational skills, attention to detail, supervisory abilities, valid UK driving licence, and computer skills (Microsoft, CAFM).
